Summer-School-Logo-2015

Chauncy Summer School is an initiative aimed at Ware and surrounding villages junior school students in Reception to Year Six.

The Summer School has a chargeable rate per child of only £15 per day which I am sure you will agree is excellent value for money.

Children participating in the Summer School  will enjoy a wide range of activities and experiences including fun sports, story making, sketching, collage, painting, 3D design, print making, jewellery making, clay, digital photography and video image making. We have included some other fun activities such as trampolining, claymation, multi-sports and music making.

We have organised the Summer School into five sessions per day, with a morning break and lunch break dividing the sessions:

A Typical Day

  • 9.00am Welcome in the Hall
  • 9.15am Session 1
  • 10.15am Break
  • 10.25am Session 2
  • 11.25am Break
  • 11.35am Session 3
  • 12.35pm Lunch
  • 1.15pm Session 4
  • 2.15pm Break
  • 2.30pm Session 5
  • 3.30pm Parents collect students from Yard or Hall

Students will participate in each activity on a carousel basis. Classes will be taught in mixed age groups with differentiated tasks. There will be five activity sessions per day, three short breaks and a longer lunch break. Student will need a packed lunch, a water bottle and a water proof. Older clothes are recommended as we will be working with paints and glue etc.
