YEAR SEVEN COUNTY CUP CHAMPIONS 2023 – 2024

An amazing performance by our Year Seven football team saw Chauncy School win 4 – 0 against Saint Joan of Arc in the Hertfordshire County Cup final tonight. An exciting game at Hertingfordbury Park, home of Hertford Town FC produced goal-scoring chances for both teams, but Chauncy’s defence was impenetrable and goalkeeper Christian Krauss made some vital saves at key points in the game. Well-taken goals from James Yoxall (2) and Arthur Brown (2) separated the two sides but this was a team performance with every player making their contribution count. This is a magnificent achievement by our Year Seven squad, who number over 20 players. Not only are they the County Champions, but they are the first Chauncy team to win the County Cup. Well done boys!
