YEAR ELEVEN PROM 2016 – LETTER TO PARENTS 28.06.2016

27th June 2016

Dear Parent / Carer,

Year Eleven Prom 2016 – Thursday 7th July 2016

As always the Prom venue is a secret, and transport to and from the venue will be by coach for every student who wishes to attend. Students are to be at Chauncy School no later than 6.15pm on Thursday 7nd July 2016 to allow for a prompt departure. The estimated return time to Chauncy is 11.30pm. Students will be dismissed from the school upon arrival at Chauncy.

The dress code is formal with traditional suit / tuxedo / black tie for the boys and evening gowns for the girls.

Previous events have been excellent fun and well attended. Students are always well behaved and year after year the host venue always comments on how good our students are. This is a school event and we operate the Code of Conduct as if we were at Chauncy. We always enforce a strict no alcohol policy and if we suspect that any student is intoxicated we will refuse access to the event. We will request that parents collect any student who does not adhere to our Code of Conduct.

I am sure that the Year Eleven students will have a fantastic evening and we have lots of things planned to make it a memorable occasion such as Prom Photos, a Prom King and Queen competition and a fun Chauncy Awards Ceremony, as well as a delicious buffet, a disco and much, much more. Whilst the food is included in the cost of a Prom ticket, additional  drinks are not. Students can purchase drinks from the non-alcoholic bar at the venue.

We have created a fantastic Leavers’ Yearbook which is 80+ glossy pages of photographs, memories and good luck messages from staff. There is also a section where you can collect good luck messages from friends on the evening.

If you have any questions about the event or require further information please contact me by e-mail: daniel.oneill@chauncy.org.uk or telephone 01920 411200.

Prom 17

Yours sincerely,

Mr Daniel O’Neill – ( Yr 11 Prom Organiser)
