QUALIFICATIONS UPDATE: 03.04.2020

We have now received information for schools, students and parents on how qualifications will be graded and awarded in summer 2020, the details of which can be accessed here:

In summary:

  • Grades will be awarded by schools, based upon advice from exam boards.
  • Grades will be moderated by exam boards working with Ofqual, the exams regulator.
  • Schools will not be permitted to share grades with students or parents.
  • Students are not required to submit further work as evidence and schools should not be asking for this.

No action is required at this point as we take time to consider the guidance and how to implement it.
