Do you have an excess of formal wear clogging up your cupboards? Too many top hats to dust? Ballgowns bursting out of the wardrobe? We might just have a solution!
Our students are increasingly aware of the impact that fast fashion has on the environment and, in a bid to become more eco-friendly, Chauncy school wants to put together a classy clothing rail to offer any Year 11 students who would prefer to wear preloved to their summer prom rather than buy something brand new that they will only wear once and likely discard.
With that in mind, we are asking the local community for help: Do you have any clothing, shoes or accessories gathering dust that might instead look great on one of our students?
If you have any items that you’d like to donate to our environmentally friendly clothing rail, please drop them into school. We are after dresses, shirts, ties, shoes etc. Anything goes in our bid to be green! (Other colours are, of course, welcome.)
We are hoping to have our rail ready by the end of the month, so we would welcome donations by Friday 17th March.
HUGE thanks in advance!
