JOB VACANCY – DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN – Now Closed
We wish to appoint a Design and Technology technician to support our Design and Technology Department. The main duties of the post include the support of teachers and students during practical lessons as well as the preparation of materials and equipment for Design and Technology lessons. In addition to this the post holder would be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of equipment (or the organising of this) to ensure that health and safety standards are met. The technician would also be required to stock-keep and purchase consumables for the department.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a good level of practical skills in all areas of the department. A knowledge of IT would also be desirable. Previous experience of working in a school environment or an engineering/workshop would be an advantage.

Contract: Permanent
Employment Type: Part-time
Hours: Minimum of 25 hours a week – term time only (paid 43.3 weeks which includes holiday pay)
Salary range: £17126-£18126 per annum, full-time equivalent. (£8.84 – £9.40 per hour)
Start date: As soon as possible
