GCSE RESULTS DAY 2016

Another successful year for Hertford and Ware students the English GCSE results at Chauncy School came in at an outstandng 89% A* – C grades – just about 25% above the national average.

The government’s new measures show Chauncy students excelling against national progress measures with students at all levels of ability showing great results. The top 10 attaining students earned 112 A* and A grades between them.

Headteacher, Dennis O’Sullivan, praised the students for their hard work and thanked parents who have suffered the torment of students revising hard and waiting for results. He added “Our teachers worked as hard as the youngsters and have been just as excited this morning as the results were announced.”

72% of Chauncy 14 year olds have already achieved an A*-C grade in Statistics and a similar number have earned their first Science GCSE a year early.

Chauncy students have a new 6th form centre to welcome them next week whilst others have been successful in applications to college. As ever our particular mix of A level and BTec courses is attracting interest from students who will be new to Chauncy.
