CABINET COMPETITION CREATES COLOURFUL CONTRIBUTIONS!
Chauncy students were challenged to create a design for the electrical cabinets around Ware, using any materials they wanted, in response to a competition set by local artist Donna Reeves.
Donna is a professional artist and the founder and owner of “& by Donna Reeves”, an art studio and shop in Ware, Hertfordshire, that has become a creative hub for the community.
This project proposes transforming the unsightly electrical cabinets in the local area into vibrant community artworks. The idea is to paint and decorate eight cabinets, turning them into inspiring features that celebrate local identity.
Students will be able to see the influence their work has had on Donna's designs around Ware later this year, when Donna has completed the project.
Congratulations to the competition winners and to those whose designs were chosen. Donna was incredibly impressed by all that she saw. Well done to everyone who entered this exciting competition.
