Fundraising Friday – Friday 15th May 2015

On Friday 15th May Chauncy School will be holding another ‘Fundraising Friday Charity Day’ to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and the Bobby Moore Foundation.

Bliss Ashley in Year Seven suggested the idea as she is raising money for these worthy charities in memory of her Aunt Helen who sadly lost her battle with bowel cancer in 2010. Bliss has raised over £100 so far and we hope to help her raise £1000 by the end of the day.

In addition to a cake sale at break time and a non-uniform day on the 15th May, Bliss is also going to have her hair cut in the Hall at lunchtime by ‘demon barber of Park Road’, Mr Dennis O’Sullivan.

Students, parents and staff are invited to bake cookies, cakes and biscuits and hand them into Reception on the morning of the 15th May and they will be sold in the student entrance at break time. Students and staff can pay £1.00 to wear their own clothes on the day, usual non-uniform rules apply. Bliss will have her head hair cut off by Mr O’Sullivan in the Hall at 1.30pm.
