TOP TIPS FOR JOINING YEAR SEVEN IN SEPTEMBER
HAPPY, SAFE & SUCCESSFUL!
We will have over 1500 students attending Chauncy in September, and we want everyone to have the very best academic, extra-curricular and social experiences. There are lots of people to help you settle in at Chauncy. Every student has a form tutor, who should be your first point of contact if you have any questions, queries, or concerns. Mr Ranner is our experienced Learning Coordinator for Year Seven, and he will be checking in with everyone over the first few weeks, as will our Primary Liaison Coordinator, Miss Matthews. We also have five Pastoral Support Officers who are available to help students with all aspects of school life. They can be found in the Pastoral Office opposite the duck pond. Our Reception staff know everything and will direct you to the right person to help you. All of our staff will be on duty before school, during break time, lunchtime, and after school. WATER BOTTLES!
Please bring a water bottle with you to school each day. We think that staying hydrated is important for your health and well-being, especially when it is hot or you have been active. We have water fountains around the school where you can refill your bottle during breaks and at lunchtime. Please put your name on the bottom of the bottle with a permanent marker, as people tend to leave water bottles lying around the school site!
