CHAUNCY SCHOOL MAY UPDATE – 4TH MAY 2026
A monthly review of April ’26 at Chauncy School with Headteacher Steve Walton. Although punctuated by Easter holidays, we still packed a lot in. This month, we will update you on the arrival of ducklings, external exam preparations, the revised mobile phone rules, the summer term uniform, and the change to Chauncy embroidered jumpers in September. A reminder about Summer Term Extra-Curricular Activities and Clubs, not to bring nuts or nut products into school due to allergies and the need to bring a water bottle in to stay hydrated. We have updates on our History block roof repairs and the plans for the new MFL building. We have exciting curriculum activities in Science, Art and Technology, History, Geography, English and Music, along with Artist and Scientist of the Month winners. We also have updates on extra-curricular competition winners in Art, Technology and Science. We have the usual review of Chauncy Awards and Attendance, and in a very full Sports Report, we bring you the PE students of the month, success in county competitions for our basketball and football teams, the launch of the new athletics and rounders summer seasons, an England call-up for Sixth Former Amy, and highlights from our Netball tour to PGL Liddington. This month’s Friday Sessions Artists are Will, George, Kyran, Noah and Ollie, performing Live Forever, by Oasis.
