Please note the timings of two examinations which take place in the first week back after Easter. The main Year 9 examination series this year will follow in the week beginning 29th June, after students have been studying their GCSE options for 4 weeks. Our intention is to use this examination week to check students have made a positive start on their GCSE subjects. I will write to you closer to the time with details of the timetable.
Here are the timings of examinations just after Easter:
English Exam (Used to inform the setting of students in their GCSE sets) 9.00am-11.00am Tuesday 21st April in the main hall.
Mathematics – Statistics mock examination 9.00am-11.00am Wednesday 22nd April in the main hall
Otherwise, Year 9 lessons are as normal after Easter.
We will be designing the “Year 9 into 10” curriculum during April based on option choice information we’ve gathered from students. From half term (Monday 1st June), students will commence their GCSE subjects and will have a new timetable.
It is important that students bring the correct equipment to all examinations:
- 2 pens
Thank you for your support and please contact me at the school if you have any queries.
