HOOP HEAVEN – YEAR TEN BASKETBALL DISTRICT CUP WINNERS 2025

Our Year Ten Boys’ Basketball team are the LVSSA District Basketball Champions 2025!

In an outstanding game at Freman College, a very strong and talented home side raced into an early 10-2 lead with some dominant finishing and well-structured offensive plays.

Chauncy rallied to come back into it after initially finding it difficult to break down the Freman zone of defense and took a slender 24-21 lead at halftime.

Chauncy pulled away in the second half with Titouan Vimeux and Liam Schertel hitting a series of valuable 3-pointers to build the lead. The Chauncy side was then able to close out the game by keeping the scoreboard ticking over while winning some outstanding turnovers around our own basket. Final score Freman College 33-49 Chauncy School.

This is another year group where we have entered two teams in the competition. A huge well done and thank you to all 19 Year Ten boys who have represented Chauncy this year.

Well done to coach Fabian Smith, who has collected his third trophy in four days after District Cup victories for Year Eight, Year Nine and now Year Ten, this week.
