Community Day 2016 from Chauncy School on Vimeo.

On Friday 15th July we worked with over 1200 primary school children either at Chauncy or in their own school, with our own students teaching them ICT, English, Arts & Crafts, pottery, Maths, Music and a 50+ other activities. We picked up litter in Ware, we cleared gardens at St. Mary’s Church, The Priory and The Salvation Army to name a few. We welcomed St. John’s Ambulance, Hertfordshire Fire Service and Hertfordshire Police in to deliver community safety demonstrations for our year Seven students. We put on a Strawberry Tea for 25 pensioners from the Age Concern Over 60s Club and our bag packers in ASDA Ware, Tesco Hertford and Van Hages have raised over £800 yesterday for Herts Air Ambulance with hundreds more coming in next week from our Year Seven sponsored walk. We ran eight mini-bus from 8.40pm until 5pm yesterday and then we had a brilliant time at Chauncy Rocks! until after 11.00pm A truly amazing day run by truly amazing kids and staff.
