Summer Uniform 2019

Dear Parent or Carer,

In the summer term we allow students to wear white polo shirts as an alternative to a shirt \ blouse and tie. We encourage families to purchase plain white polo shirts, without designer or sports logos as a cheaper alternative to the embroidered Chauncy logo polo shirt. The embroidered range of Chauncy polo shirts will still be available to purchase from Kids Connection Hertford however.

The uniform code at Chauncy can now be summarised as:

Boys Uniform

• Black school blazer with embroidered badge or Chauncy leaf embroidered patch sewn onto blazer pocket
• Green Chauncy House tie
• Plain white collared shirt
• Optional plain white polo shirt or Chauncy polo shirt with embroidered School Logo (in summer term only)
• Plain black trousers, (not leggings, denim, cord or jean style).
• Plain black v-neck sweater (optional)
• Outdoor coat not a sports or hooded top.
• Plain black flat heeled polishable shoes, no sports logos, no boots, trainers, canvas, fabric or plimsolls.

Sportswear:

• Black and emerald long sleeve reversible top
• Black polo shirt
• Black shorts
• Black and emerald socks
• Plain white socks
• Trainers (to be worn for PE ONLY)

Girls Uniform

• Black school blazer with embroidered badge or Chauncy leaf embroidered patch sewn onto blazer pocket
• Green Chauncy House tie
• Plain white collared blouse
• Optional plain white polo shirt or Chauncy polo shirt with embroidered School Logo (in summer term only)
• Plain black skirt, (knee length) or plain black trousers, not leggings, denim, cord or jean style.
• Plain black tights are permitted.
• Plain black v-neck sweater (optional)
• Plain topcoat not a sports or hooded top.
• Plain black flat heeled polishable shoes, no sports logos, no boots, trainers, canvas, fabric or plimsolls.

Sportswear:

• Black and emerald sports hoodie top
• Black polo shirt
• Black shorts
• Black and emerald socks
• Plain white socks
• Trainers (to be worn for PE ONLY)

Plain black flat heeled polishable shoes, no sports logos, no boots, trainers, canvas, fabric or plimsolls.

Students who arrive at school without aspects of their uniform will attend a 15 minute uniform detention. School plimsolls are available from the Pastoral Office for those students who do not have correct footwear.

To cut down on plastic waste we recommend that students bring a water bottle during the summer term. We have three water coolers that can be used to fill water bottles at break and lunchtime.
