SIXTH FORM INDUCTION MONDAY 2ND JULY – WEDNESDAY 4TH JULY 2018

I would now like to let you know the process of induction that we carry out to make sure that the transition from Year 11 to Sixth Form is as smooth as possible. Induction is very important in terms of preparing students for the change in the approach to schooling that the Sixth Form entails and we expect to see all students attend.

On the first day all students should arrive promptly by 9.00am for an introductory assembly in the hall. We are planning a team building event on the Monday, and will finish with a barbecue at 1.30pm. (Please let us know of any special dietary requirements). Tuesday 9.00am to 3.30pm and Wednesday 9.00am to 1.30pm will be taster lesson sessions. The dress code for the Monday is casual, shorts are fine, as are trainers. Tuesday and Wednesday students should be in smart ‘office wear’, for boys this means formal trousers, or a suit and a collared shirt. Girls should wear formal skirt/trousers and smart top.

Please confirm attendance by Friday 29 June 2018 if you haven’t already. If you have any queries about Sixth Form Induction or any other related matter, please do not hesitate to contact me or Jill Warner in the 6th Form office, alternatively email jill.warner@chauncy.org.uk

Paper copies of this letter are available from Reception.

Yours faithfully,

Pablo Ardiles (Head of Sixth Form)
