External Examinations 2019
GCSE maths and English re-sit and University entrance exams are scheduled during the first week of November. A copy of the timetable is available here.
BTEC external assessments for some qualifications will take place during January. A copy of the schedule will be made available later this term.
The main summer season for GCSE and GCE external written exams will take place between Monday 11th May and Wednesday 24th June 2020. Coursework deadlines, practical and controlled assessments will be taking place during March and April, so students should check with their subject tutors.
Individual exam timetables will be issued to students before Easter, once final entries have been made. It is very important that candidates read their exam schedules carefully as they may have clashes. Students with exam clashes will need to contact the exams office in order to discuss their options as soon as possible.
A copy of the centre timetable for all GCE and GCSE exams being held at Chauncy will be available here.
Certificates for the Summer 2019 season are coming soon! We anticipate that they will be available for collection from the exams office by the end of October/early November. Recent leavers will be invited to a formal certificate ‘Presentation Afternoon’ at the end of the Autumn term.
They must be signed for
- Friends or relatives may collect and sign for certificates on a candidates behalf provided they bring a letter of authorisation with them.
- Current students can collect their certificates directly from the Exams Office.
For students that have now left the school, please be aware that we are only required to keep these certificates for one year from their date of issue – so don’t forget them!
Many students (both current and leavers) have still not collected their certificates from summer 2018 or earlier years. Please remember that these are vital documents as they are the only proof of exam results.
If you don’t remember receiving your certificates, please get in touch with us – they may still be here in our archives. We will keep them here for a while, after which they will be returned to the exam board for shredding!
